ADISA Announces 2017 President-Elect and Officers

At its first Board meeting of the year, the new ADISA (the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association) Board, elected by the membership in late 2016, selected its 2017 officers. John H. Grady of DLA Piper begins his term as the 2017 ADISA president (having been elected president-elect in 2016), and Keith Lampi of Inland Private Capital Corporation was elected as the 2017 president-elect and will serve as president in 2018. The other ADISA officers selected were: Greg Mausz of Preferred Apartment Communities as vice president; Brian Buehler of Triton Pacific Securities as secretary; and Mark Kosanke of Concorde Investment Services as treasurer. Mike Bendix of DFPG Investments, ADISA’s 2016 president, will serve the Board as its immediate past president. Additionally, Catherine Bowman of The Bowman Law Firm was also elected by the Board to serve as a director for a one-year term.
Serving as ADISA’s 2017 President, John H. Grady is a partner with the law firm of DLA Piper. He concentrates his practice on publicly offered and privately placed investment funds, as well as investment advisers, broker-dealers and others in the financial services industry. Prior to joining DLA Piper, he was affiliated with Aretec Corporation, the parent company of Cetera Financial Group, and while there he helped form and operate the ARC Income Funds complex. John graduated magna cum laude from Colgate University, and received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Keith Lampi is President of Inland Private Capital Corporation (IPCC). Throughout his 14 year tenure, Lampi has helped to shape IPCC into a market leader in the private real estate securities industry. Lampi received his bachelor degree in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Greg Mausz is currently Executive Vice President of Operations and Due Diligence at Preferred Capital Securities, managing broker dealer for Preferred Apartment Communities. Most recently Mausz held the role of Managing Director of Cape Securities and Cape Investment Advisory, a nationally ranked independent broker-dealer and SEC-registered RIA. He has spent 20 years in the financial services industry, serving in various leadership roles that resulted in raising over $8 billion in investor capital. Mausz received a B.S. in business management from Samford University and a MBA from Kennesaw State University.  He holds active Series 7, 24, 63, 65 and 79 securities registrations and is insurance licensed.
Brian Buehler is a partner at Triton Pacific Capital Partners, LLC, and sits as a member of the firm’s investment committee. Buehler runs the firm’s capital markets strategy, bringing his expertise in building distribution platforms that have raised capital to support more than $2 billion of alternative investment strategies. Buehler serves as president of its managing broker dealer, Triton Pacific Securities, LLC.  Buehler has over 20 years of product development, distribution and investment experience within financial services, commercial real estate and alternative investments.  Buehler earned his B.A. from Chapman University.
Mark Kosanke, CPA, is a founding partner of the Concorde Financial Group of Companies, which includes Concorde Financial Group. Kosanke has more than 33 years of accounting, tax and operations experience, and more than 25 years of securities experience in both equities and real estate.
Mike Bendix is the co-founder and CEO of DFPG Investments, an independent broker-dealer based in South Jordan, Utah. Bendix has over 25 years of experience in the real estate and financial services industries. He received his degree from the University of California at Irvine. He holds active Series 7, 24, 63, 65 and 99 securities registrations and is a licensed real estate broker in California and Utah.
Catherine Bowman founded The Bowman Law Firm in April 2008 in order to conduct due diligence on public and private securities offerings on behalf of independent broker-dealers, RIAs and other clients. Prior to founding The Bowman Law Firm, Bowman was Chief Compliance Officer, Senior Vice President and Corporate Counsel for CNL Securities Corporation. She received her J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law and her B.S./B.A. in economics from the University of Florida.
