ADISA Elects 2015 President-Elect and Officers

At its first Board meeting of the year, ADISA (the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association, f/k/a REISA), elected its 2015 officers. Thomas G. Voekler of Kaplan Voekler Cunningham & Frank is currently serving as the 2015 ADISA President, and Mike Bendix of DFPG Investments was elected as the 2015 President-Elect. The other ADISA officers elected were: John H. Grady of RCS Capital Corporation as Vice President; Keith Lampi of Inland Private Capital Corporation as Secretary; and Mark Kosanke of Concorde Investment Services as Treasurer. Kosanke, ADISA’s 2014 President, will also serve the Board as its Immediate Past President. Derek O’Leary of ICON Securities was also elected by the Board to serve as a Director-at-Large.
Serving as ADISA’s 2015 President, Tom Voekler is the co-founder and co-managing partner Kaplan Voekler Cunningham & Frank. His legal practice focuses primarily on corporate finance, public and private securities offerings, private equity and corporate governance issues, with a particular focus on real estate investment trusts (REITs), 1031 syndications (DSTs/TICs) and private placements of real estate investments.
Mike Bendix will serve as President-Elect until his one-year term as President begins in January 2016. He is the co-founder and CEO of DFPG Investments, an independent broker-dealer based in South Jordan, Utah. Additionally, Bendix is the president of Bridge Equities, Inc., a branch office of DFPG located in Encinitas, Calif. He has over 25 years of experience in the real estate and financial services industries. Bendix received his degree from the University of California at Irvine. He holds active Series 7, 24 and 63 securities registrations and is a licensed real estate broker in California and Utah.
John Grady is chief strategy and risk officer for RCS Capital Corporation, and is president of National Fund Advisors and its investment company complex, the ARC Income Funds. He previously held management positions with various operating subsidies of RCAP, including Realty Capital Securities LLC.
Mark Kosanke is a founding partner of the Concorde Financial Group of Companies, which includes Concorde Financial Group. Kosanke has more than 23 years of accounting, tax and operations experience, and more than 18 years of securities experience in both equities and real estate.
Keith Lampi currently serves as a director, the president and chief operating officer of Inland Private Capital Corporation. Lampi joined Inland in 2001 and has held various positions with IPCC throughout his tenure with the firm.
Derek O’Leary serves president of ICON Securities. Prior to joining ICON, O’Leary was chief financial officer and managing partner at Hassan & Lear Acquisitions.
ADISA’s 2015 officers join the other remaining Board of Directors: Fred Baerenz, AOG Wealth Management; Catherine Bowman, The Bowman Law Firm; Austin Dutton, Bridge Valley Financial; Derek Peterson, Walton International; Barbara Halper, FactRight; Peter Magnuson, Securities America; Cory Neumiller, Capital Financial Services; Brad Updike, Mick & Associates; and Todd Van Pelt, Cambridge Investment Research. Darryl Steinhause, DLA Piper, serves the board as its legal counsel.
